Went in for our monthly check up today. Did the usual stuff like getting blood pressure taken, give a urine sample (i got stage fright yet again this time.) Then the nurse gave us instructions for the blood glucose test. This test checks for Diabetes during pregnancy. You have to drink this nasty drink and then go in and have your blood drawn, then they run tests on it. If you pass you are good to go. If you don't pass you have to do further testing.
Then we met with our CNMW Dr. Holcomb. She is by far my favorite one in the practice and I hope she is the one that gets to deliver our baby. She measured my belly ever growing belly and then we listened to the heart beat. Good and strong little heart our little one has. I think it was 156 this time. (I really need to write the little things down.)
At the end of the appointment we talked about questions we had and things like that. This is when we got our SURPRISE! Doc wants to do another ultra sound YAY! So next week we will go back and have an u/s and glucose test.
